Bill Atkinson doxxed Douglas Adams in 1987
I read somewhere that Douglas Adams (writer of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) was the first person in Europe to own an Apple Macintosh.
Something I haven't found anywhere is that Bill Atkinson (Apple developer who created HyperCard) may have accidentally shared Douglas Adams his address and phone numbers on television.
I was watching an old episode of The Computer Chronicles and saw Bill presenting HyperCard. He showed an address book as an example application, and for a brief moment Douglas Adams his name showed up, with 2 addresses and phone numbers. Bill skipped past the entry pretty quickly, which makes me think he may have shown it by mistake:

You can watch the video fragment here. The address book entry is shown within a second after the linked timestamp.
Update
Apparently "doxxed" implies malicious intent. I obviously don't think that was the case here.
Also, people have pointed out to me that this kind of personal information was made public by default for everyone back in the day, for example by telephone book companies. I assume most famous people paid those companies to not list their info, but I don't know if Adams did that.
